Hillside Dams is a natural landscape with deep water, wildlife and rocky ground. These essentials help everyone enjoy it responsibly.
Use designated paths, roads and open sitting areas.
Give animals space and remain alert for snakes.
No swimming or water dipping. Canoeing access is supervised and life jackets are compulsory.
A parent or legal guardian must supervise children at all times.
Do not run in rocky areas and keep away from unsupervised water edges.
Music is not permitted. Follow all instructions from Conservancy personnel.

Approximately 6 km south of the city centre. Drive cautiously on the final access road and follow the Hillside Dams signs.

Regular day visits generally do not require advance booking. Schools, large groups, events, venue hire and team-building visits should contact us ahead of time.
Yes. Bring your picnic or cooler box and use the free braai stands. Firewood is available at $3 per bundle. Please keep the grounds clean and follow fire-safety instructions.
